create.net (DoYourOwnSite) Install Guide

Statcounter provides customisable hit counters, visitor tracking, web analytics and website stats for create.net (DoYourOwnSite).

create.net (DoYourOwnSite)

  1. Sign up for an account at Statcounter to get your code.

    These instructions will be repeated after you've created an account and added your first project.

  2. Copy the StatCounter code.
  3. Log into your create.net and click "Content" at the top of the page
  4. Click "HTML Fragments" on the left of the page
  5. Towards top/right of page click "Add HTML Fragment".
  6. In the "Description" box type StatCounter, in the "HTML Code" box paste in your StatCounter code
  7. Click "Add HTML Fragment" - you have now created your StatCounter HTML Fragment - to track your visitors you now need to add this HTML Fragment to the pages of your site
  8. Click “Header & Footer” on the left of the page.
  9. Now click the "HTML" button in the edit menu. This is a little tricky to find. It’s in the row of buttons just above your site content, beside another button that looks like a flash of lightning. When you click the HTML button a small window opens.
  10. Select the StatCounter Fragment from the dropdown menu and click “Insert”
  11. A shaded box titled "HTML Fragment" will be visible on the screen (If you have chosen a visible StatCounter, it will appear in the footer of your site)
  12. Click “Save Changes”, then “Publish” in the top menu, and that’s it!
    13. Your StatCounter will now begin recording visitor information across all pages of your site and, if you chose the visible option, your counter will be visible on your website!
