How do I enable Live Heatmaps?

If you have Heatmaps enabled via a Premium Plus project, or the Heatmap Add-On, the heatmap will overlay a live, interactive view of your website.

Live Heatmaps should normally be enabled without any further configuration changes and click hotspots will build up over time as visitors click on your website.

You can click on menus, and see the nested hotspots, or see how hotspots differ between different images on a carousel.

Allowing iframe embedding

Sometimes technical / security problems can prevent us embedding or proxying your website. If you experience a blank white screen or an empty heatmap, or a security challenge, you can make changes to the Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors server directive to allow Statcounter to directly embed your website as outlined below.

Your website administrator may be able to help with this, or if you are happy to edit your web server config directly, here are some examples:

Apache

Header set Content-Security-Policy "frame-ancestors 'self' https://statcounter.com;"

Nginx

add_header Content-Security-Policy "frame-ancestors 'self' https://statcounter.com;";
